This beautiful Orchidarium and butterflies home belongs to Andres Bonifacio Elementary School II, a part of Barangay 3. This Orchidarium preserves different kinds of orchids and butterflies, referring them as endangered species.

BACKGROUND
Barangay 3 is an urban community locates in the heart of the City of Bacolod with a total land area of 14,668 hectares and a population of 4, 980 people. The brand name is WATER RANCH because the barangay catches water from the areas during rainy season, settle in the community as it is known as a catch basin. During the early years the barangay is a ranch (cuadra) because of the abundance of cogon like grasses to feed the horses. There are swampy areas in the barangay and serves as a source of livelihood for they used it as a fish pond.
The boundary landmarks are Andres Bonifacio Elementary School along 18 Gatuslao Street, the mansion of hotelier the late Lourdes Ciocon and Caltex Depot along San Juan Streets.
Barangay 3 is composed of 7 puroks, 1 class B and class C subdivisions. Each purok celebrates their own fiesta in honor of saints which the devotees has chosen package with so many entertainment.


VISION
The Barangay 3 officials envision to promote a dynamic leadership rendering above - par services to its constituents, where everyone works as a team, with sense of pride, belongingness shared and sustained for the growth and development of Barangay 3.
MISSION
We, the elected Barangay officials and staff of Barangay 3 are committed to provide a better assistance through a personalized services, assuring our constituents for a drug, domestic violence and garbage free community. We pledge to share our time, effort and money with the cooperation and team work of our purok officials, tanod, health workers and non-government organization in the barangay as well as the local government unit.

GOALS

* want to change the image of the barangay structure as well as its environment
* want to create a linkages among civic and cause-oriented groups

OBJECTIVES

* To establish a working relationship among elected barangay officials, appointed staff/workers, purok officials and non-government groups.
* To encourage an active participation of the residents in any programs and projects sponsored by the city and the barangay.
* To provide a basic services for the development of the community.
* To make a drug, violence and garbage free barangay.
